TEXroad

TEXroad is a non-profit organisation that uses data as a common language to connect the public and private sectors and optimize the economics and carbon footprint of textile circulation. We act as a neutral party to network digital platforms and develop a flow of standardized data to match the flow of textiles through the reverse supply chain. This is used to produce statistics, metrics, best practices and reports that meet policy monitoring requirements, support impact assessments, highlight system inefficiencies and enable transparency.

Their role in PESCO-UP

TEXroad focuses on defining standardised information requirements for imaging and data technologies to facilitate the sorting of textiles for recycling. Their role extends to generating Digital Product Passports (DPPs) for recycling feedstocks and uploading this vital information into digital marketplaces. TEXroad actively supports the implementation of data services to enable the seamless flow of information throughout the recycling process.

Moreover, the organisations contributes crucial data and insights to support various aspects of the project, including techno-economic assessments, sustainability evaluations, market uptake strategies, and analyses of policy regulatory conditions and standardization for circular textiles..
